Moving Closer to A Successful Transition by Deboski Co.

Based on the responses we are receiving, the Edmonton and Calgary seminars we hosted last week were a huge success. One of the attendees in Edmonton said, “you guys did a bang up job. Very well organized, good guest speakers and and all in all a very well run event. I am glad I attended.”

One of the attendees in Calgary emailed to say, ” I thoroughly found the session on Thursday very worthwhile and thank you.”

People have told me how much they appreciated Bill Giebelhaus of Clark Builders telling his story of business transition and sharing his insight of what he learned at various stages of their transition process.

Glen Demke and Jas Butalia gave good advice concerning tax issues owners face when re-structuring for transition and Glenn Stephens’ interview regarding Shareholder Agreements was equally informative.

It was apparent at the seminars and from the feedback we are receiving, that owners are keenly interested in the impact motivated employees have on a successful transition. Perry Phillips did an excellent job in explaining how owners ought to capitialize on that.

I sense that many left the day with valuable and personally relevant information. Hopefully this is enough motivation for many to take some steps in their own planning. If in fact that is the outcome,, then without a doubt, our seminars can be called a huge success.
